The Council Tax discrepancy between local authorities in Wales
Ever since Council Tax came into force there has been arguments for and against it. But what about the discrepancy between each of the 22 local authorities here in Wales. Looking at the latest data from Stats Wales I have based my piece on Band D from each council as this is the band that all of the others are based upon. Graph showing the discrepancies between Band D across the local authorities in Wales. The current bandings for Wales are based on 2003 valuations of the dwelling. These are as follows: A - under £44,000 B - £44,001 to £65,000 C - £65,001 to £91,000 D - £91,001 to £123,000 E - £123,001 to £162,000 F - £162,001 to £223,000 G - £223,001 to £324,000 H - £324,001 to £424,000 I - £424,001 and above
